Safeguarding
Safe and fair participation
Everyone taking part in association activities has the right to feel safe, respected and treated fairly.
Draft content
Respectful conduct
We expect all participants, volunteers and supporters to treat others with respect, regardless of age, gender, origin, ability or any other characteristic.
Prevention of harassment and discrimination
Harassment, bullying, discrimination and inappropriate behaviour are not accepted in any form, in person or online.
Coaches and volunteers
Anyone working with participants acts as a role model, keeps appropriate boundaries and follows the association's guidance. Where activities involve children, adults working regularly with them are asked for a criminal record extract as required by Finnish law.
Protection of minors
Activities involving children are planned so that a child is never placed in an unsafe situation. Guardians are informed about activities and contact persons.
Reporting concerns
- Speak to the activity leader or a board member
- Contact the association by email or telephone
- Use the Finnish sports community's independent Et ole yksin service
- In an emergency, call 112
Confidentiality and documentation
Concerns are handled confidentially. Incidents are documented factually and stored securely, shared only with those who need to know.
Escalation and review
Serious matters are referred to the appropriate authorities. This policy is reviewed by the board at least annually.
